So this one is the same process as the previous, with a few tweaks. I'm not going to chat much here, just post some pics. What differences I did make, I'll mention. Let the March of the Booger Welds commence.
Trimmed the remaining side lip (see the bowed out section below) to fit the panel I made. Easier to get rid of that original thin stuff than reshape or modify my thicker panel.
You'll note that the panel along its bottom lip (at the far right of the pic) is not welded in place. I left it unattached until I'll be ready to trim out down, heat it fully, and hammer it in place. Then I'll drill some holes for some plug welds.
