The Edelbrock chain was a no go, so I went with a stock replacement Cloyes chain, which is still a quality product.
The old and the new, side by side. The lower one is the new one. Note the double keyes on the outer edges of each link.
Installed.
Much tighter, almost no play at all.
Pretty scuzzy.
Got nearly all the grease and paint off the timing cover.
At first I thought I'd just use the old pump as a means of masking off the timing cover.
But then I figured I should use the new pump, which I want to give some paint protection, too.
Primed.
The crank pulley and balancer.
A little soak in CLR.
Getting the back body mounts in was a tad more difficult. A little more tension to overcome to get them cinched down tight so that the polyurethane bushings and the "hockey pucks" don't move around.
