Pedal assembly bracket

To help the Bronco pedal assembly not flex too much under hard brake or clutch pedal pressure, I wanted to mount it not just to the firewall but to the cowl (first choice) or the back of the dash (second choice).  So I took more of that 2A tailgate panel and started cutting, bending, and welding.  This will work, I think.
Not terrible welds.
Cutting it to follow the cowl's curve.
The notches to allow space for the various controls that will mount in the dash, like a light switch.
These holes are for plug welds.  This will be, without a doubt, the most awkward welding I've had to do.
Hideous but solid.
I haven't mounted the pedal assembly to it yet, so I'm not 100% convinced that it'll work, but here's hoping ...
