Hood blocks

I dug into my wood scrap pile and found some oak that I was able to glue up into a pair of block blanks.  Using a forstner pit, I drilled a hole deep enough for the bolt head and wide enough to fit a socket head for tightening them down.
Mounted up.  Note they are not equidistant from the center seam of the hood.  (I didn't notice this.)
Since it's essentially a topless rig (even once I get a bikini top for it), I sealed the blocks with Tru-Oil.  But I'm not terribly worried about them getting water damaged.  However, I did fab up a 1/4" cap to keep out most water.
