Tub scrubbing

I hung some tattered sheets and old towels to keep the rest of the garage from getting too covered in paint and rust dust.
These are the attachments that will get the job done.
Here's what I started with, just as a reminder.
Started on the tool box and lid.  It cleans up nicely.
Up under the dash, there was a lot of scaly surface rust. Once again, remember that it was a farm Jeep, which meant lots of time outside (likely overnight many nights, or at best a barn) where condensation would be unkind.
Had to use a chisel to get that old, sticky gasket off the transmission tunnel.  Not sure what it is, but I'll have to get another tube of the stuff.
Much better.

Much less rusty, but there are still little bits down in there somewhere that I'll need to treat it.

Getting that red off was a mess.  Seems like it was probably primer.
I'm not invested in getting the rear wheel tubs completely clean or paint free.  Just smooth.
Permatex rust treatment as per usual.
I slapped some up inside the cowl, as well.
Within five minutes, it was turning black, doing its job.
Did a little on the rear wheel tubs, too.  A few seams needed treatment.

Pedal assembly bracket

To help the Bronco pedal assembly not flex too much under hard brake or clutch pedal pressure, I wanted to mount it not just to the firewall but to the cowl (first choice) or the back of the dash (second choice).  So I took more of that 2A tailgate panel and started cutting, bending, and welding.  This will work, I think.
Not terrible welds.
Cutting it to follow the cowl's curve.
The notches to allow space for the various controls that will mount in the dash, like a light switch.
These holes are for plug welds.  This will be, without a doubt, the most awkward welding I've had to do.
Hideous but solid.
I haven't mounted the pedal assembly to it yet, so I'm not 100% convinced that it'll work, but here's hoping ...
